Multilingual site and double from Yandex. Is it about matching META descriptions?

Hello! I have a bilingual wordpress site with qTranslate X and Yoast SEO plugins.
Two versions of the main page, with different content in two languages. The other day, Yandex marked the RU version of the site as a duplicate of the main, English version. The tags on the pages are:

<link hreflang="en" href="https://site.com/en/" rel="alternate" />
<link hreflang="ru" href="https://site.com/ru/" rel="alternate" />
<link hreflang="x-default" href="https://site.com/" rel="alternate" />

Could Yandex have added the Russian version to the duplicates because the META descriptions of the EN and RU versions are the same? The qTranslate X plugin does not work with Yoast SEO and the description is the same for both language versions.

If you have the main version in English, then it should be written like this:

<link hreflang="x-default" href="https://site.com/" rel="alternate" />
<link hreflang="ru" href="https://site.com/ru/" rel="alternate" />

-Theoretically, yes, of course, you should first deal with the description, and look further. It would be easier to answer the question if you show at least screenshots of the ru and eng versions.
