MSE Anti-Virus loads svchost by 400-800Mb for a long time during daily updates. This is fine?

Antivirus

started about a month ago and loads the system. I didn’t notice such inconveniences before, but I didn’t change the system. Is it possible to fix this without changing the antivirus?

It sometimes overrides it. Reinstallation helps. Or you can just turn it off. Then turn it on when needed.
If the computer is not used to visit dubious sites, search for and download pirated software, they do not poke incomprehensible flash drives into it, then you can generally do without an antivirus.
Regular monitoring of processes and network activity can help detect suspicious programs long before antivirus software reacts.
