Mozilla thunderbird does not keep the "read" mark on emails. How to fix?

I mark incoming messages in Mozilla thunderbird as read, but on the server they remain unread. IMAP protocol. How to fix?

In Mozilla thunderbird, you need to right-click on the "Inbox" folder, then "Properties", the button "Repair Folder".
