Motherboard and RAM?

So I looked at my Motherboard, it says 2XDDR3, that is, 2 DDR 3 RAM sticks.
Right now, I generally cost 4 GB ddr3, I want to put myself 16 GB ddr4. My question. Can I put DDR4 on this motherboard? And what happens if I do. And where can I find out how much RAM can be put in the Mother.

DDR4 cannot be installed instead of DDR3, they have a different number of contacts (240 vs 288) and a different key position.

All the details can be found in the specification on the official website of the board manufacturer. You can physically insert DDR4 , but the voltage will be 1.5V, while the default for DDR4 should be 1.2V (1.35V - XMP ), so it's not worth trying.
