Motherboard and PSU compatible?

There is a motherboard: ASUS Z170-P LGA 1151
Its characteristics say that you need power: 24 + 8 pin (24 for the motherboard, 8 for the processor).
And most power supplies go to 24 + 4 + 4 pin
Colleagues say that this is normal, compatible, you don’t have to worry.

Usually 8 pin = 4 pin + 4 pin, that is, they are "linked" into one connector.

These two 4-pin plugs are plugged into the 8-pin power connector. It's like that everywhere now.
