Moscow Technical Institute (VTU)
Gentlemen, did anyone actually come across this educational institution in person? I came across just the other day and was very interested in the possibility of adequate online training. I have been thinking about a second tower for a long time, as the first one is not a profile one. And here is the courseI found something interesting for myself, the opportunity to study normally online (watching lectures via the Internet and even passing exams, you only need to appear at the institute to defend projects, which for some reason is extremely important for me). Should it be considered as an educational institution at all? I could not find either MIT or VTU in the ratings of educational institutions in general, and the reviews on the Internet somehow do not give any idea at all about what kind of animal it really is. Maybe someone studied / learns / encountered? Advantages and disadvantages. I am interested not only in the presence of a second, specialized tower or some kind of diploma, but also in the knowledge that can be taken out from there (cisco's she hooked me :)).

I am there. I plan to complete my studies after transferring from another university. If you have more specific questions I can answer.
I can immediately say from the minuses: Extremely leisurely. That is, if you need to go to another course, you need to write and write to them. Forget about the students with a bang. Recently changed design, became vyrviglazny. For a year I have been waiting for when my education will be reduced. They feed breakfast very hard. Send it, sign it here, wait here, and now send it again. Well and all in such spirit. I have been studying there for a little over a year. I'm probably in my second year, with more than half of my credits already passed (because I was transferring from ITMO), but still in my second year. Every year, the cost of education increases by 10%.
As far as knowledge is concerned, only one thing can be said. If there is a desire, knowledge can be endured. If there is no desire - just like in a regular university. The electronic lecture notes are pleasing, the webinars are pleasing.
I re-read the post and somehow straight as much as completely negative. I'll write down the pluses in more detail. Firstly, they give all sorts of fenki to students. For example, the opportunity to get a CCNA certificate for free (!) Sometimes it is possible to improve English for free, it is possible to get free 3g from MTS, there are webinars where different people speak, with whom it is quite possible to communicate. There were even webinars on Delphi :) There are webinars both obligatory for viewing (at least in the archive), and optional and simply general for all specialties (for example, management). You want to come, you want not to come. I am very glad that the exam can be taken at night. That's what I love to do. Sit down at 2-3 nights with a cup of coffee and calmly pass it when no one calls, writes to ICQ \ vk \ skype, etc. If I'm not mistaken, then the states and the diploma can also be defended remotely. I haven't decided yet how I'm going to take it, but I'll probably still come by. I probably just got unlucky with my "training department specialist". My friend entered and somehow they did everything right away, but apparently I was not lucky. Although I immediately told her that she needed to shake them more often and it really helps. I am very pleased that you can download books and lectures. It is possible to print all lectures on the subject. This feature manifests itself in the form of an html page, which can be easily saved and converted to another format, for example, for easier reading on a tablet. Submit documents and pay. Let's see what kind of animal. It seems like it should be convenient.
I was not too lazy and looked for MIT in the rankings of universities, here's what I found, if anyone is interested:
http://5ballov.qip.ru/ratings/100/moskva/
http://vuz.edunetwork.ru/articles/106/
http://uchebnyezavedenia.ru/reyting-uchebnykh-zavedeniy.html
I'm currently graduating from MIT. IT subjects are made disgustingly, in very many programming subjects Pascal was used as the main language. It's funny, but even in OOP.
But for a freebie, I think it's ok.
I want to warn those who are thinking of applying: in February, the state university was suspended at the university. accreditation. Assurances immediately came from the management that everything will be fine, study and pay, we will solve the issue on March 15th. But after March 15, the issue was not resolved; moreover, the leadership took a vow of silence. These are facts, draw your own conclusions.
