Monitor 2560x1440 and old video card. How to make friends?

Good day!
When connecting a Philips 242B7QPTEB monitor to a Lenovo u510 laptop ( NVIDIA GeForce GT 625M video card ) via HDMI, the resolution is automatically set to 1920x1080. The monitor can do more.
Through the settings of the video card, adding a custom resolution does not allow: "Bandwidth exceeded". The characteristics of the video card allow you to reproduce the maximum resolution of the monitor.
How to solve the problem, gentlemen?

I had about 6 different HDMI cables, 2k resolution worked only on two, and unnamed and not very "cool" looking. Try another cable, if possible, then the one on which the 2k monitor definitely worked.
You can also reduce the refresh rate to 30 Hz, then the bandwidth will be enough. To do this, you will have to create a custom graphics card profile.
