Mixing channels of active acoustics?

For the last five years I have been a happy owner of Microlab Solo 7 acoustics . And now, for the third time, the same problem arose - the right and left channels are mixed and when the balance is changed programmatically on the computer, both speakers continue to play the same way, while the sound quality deteriorates a little and, as it were, is blurred.
The first time the problem arose when the acoustics were still under warranty. I took it to a service center and picked it up the next day. The master said something like “I took it apart, looked, turned it on and it worked. Didn't repair anything, don't know what it was. The acoustics are fully functional, inside everything is fine. ” About a year ago the problem reappeared. This time I dismantled it, looked, moved the wires, without visually finding faults, turned it on and, lo and behold, it all worked. History repeated itself yesterday. I disconnected the acoustics from the computer, pulled it out of the socket, disassembled it, inspected it, turned it on and it all worked.
Hence the question: what kind of magic is this? Why, after disconnecting and disassembling (and by the last disassembly, I mean minimal actions: I unscrewed one woofer just to look inside, I didn’t even move any wires) the acoustics suddenly heal? Does she lack attention?

The cable that you plug into the computer has three wires - ground, left channel and right channel. Here you have somewhere closes the wires of the left and right channels. Look for the exception method where. Most likely the problem is either in the jack or in the wire.

Some sound cards are "smart" (for example, the nasty realtek) - they try to determine the type of device connected to the socket. Maybe you have such a card and it sees your acoustics as a monophonic device? You can try tweaking your sound card settings.
