Mikrotik router and falling off USB. What is the problem?

Initial data:
There is Mikrotik RB951G-2HnD RouterOS v5.25.
An external WD My Passport drive is connected to it via USB.
Problem:
At night, data is backed up to it for 5 hours. At some point, Mikrotik stops seeing the drive, creates a folder in its memory and tries to upload archives with a total complexity of 50 GB into its tiny 90 MB.
I sinned that there was not enough power to the USB port, I connected an external drive through a hub that is connected to the network separately, i.e. the malnutrition option is out. What to do, I can’t find an answer, for what reason does the USB port on Mikrotik fall off?
Thanks for the tips and advice in advance.

Try to check the availability of the usb device with the script and if it is not available, do a power-reset on the usb port. For example, I ping 8.8.8.8 and if the ping does not go, then something happened to the Yotov usb modem, after which a similar script is turned on.

.......
if (!$DiskNotAviable) do={
/log error "No USB-device aviable"
/system routerboard usb power-reset duration=10s
:delay 20s
/продолжить бэкап
}

Make a support file and send it to support, they are very responsive and helpful

Try adjusting the download speed on it. If the USB bandwidth is the threshold - the problem is: controllers on the disk and / or Mikrotik.

Cheap Mikrotiks are cheap kits. Still, trying to squeeze out the SAMBA-server-over-USB functionality from the RB951G-2HnD soap dish is cruel. Especially on the ROS 5.xx branch (it looks like smb will no longer develop there). Go to 6th. This is a global note.
But if you want to continue biting the cactus, then if I were you, I would set up remote logging and send a log there with the tags error, warning, smb. More or less like this:

/system logging action
add name=rsyslog remote=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx target=remote
/system logging
add action=rsyslog prefix=usb topics=error,warning,smb

And already in the logs I was looking for the reasons for falling off.

Updated to the latest firmware version to v6.15, also updated Firmware to v3.16 (was v3.08), immediately noticed the first changes.
The data on the USB port began to be displayed correctly, which was not the case before. After connecting an external drive to it - everything was fine. I specially left it for 2 days of downtime to see if the port will disappear after a while or not. Didn't see any errors. Tonight, a large archive backup from a remote server took place without a single error. I'll try to run a backup from 2 different servers that will overlap. I note that the speed of uploading archives after a long time drops to 800 kb / s.
