Migrating from RAID-0 to RAID-6 in non-disruptive mode?

According to this post on the form , you can make a temporary raid group.

Does this approach work for all types of raids?

Well, how can I say, "works"...
Some time ago we were approached by a person with QNAP, who promised automatic conversion between RAID5 and RAID6 (I don't remember the exact direction right away, I have to look at the database).
Of course, Kunep promised to promise, but for some reason he got up in the process of that "conversion". We recovered the data, but not in one day, and not cheap, because. his system became a layer cake of RAID 5, RAID 6, and the stuffing in between. Because of this, in order to work, we had to modify our internal data recovery software to suit his order.
So if you suddenly decide to experiment with conversion without having backups, here's a link just in case, it might come in handy: https://rlab.ru/raidrecovery/
