Migrate move vmware esxi virtual machine from one hypervisor to another with shared storage?

And so - there are two vmware esxi hypervisors version 4.1 (yes, yes, you need to update). Both are connected to a single storage system for them. You need to move a virtual machine from one to another. There is not enough free space on the storage system (i.e. there is not enough space for a copy of this machine).
I know the option of exporting a virtual machine to external media, but this solution has the following disadvantages:
1) The machine is exported the size of the entire partition, and not just the useful space occupied.
2) There is no verification of the transferred data (i.e. I only find out if there was an error when writing to the media when I import the VM back.
3) It turns out that you first need to merge the machine to hard, delete the virtual machine from one hypervisor, and then the same info pour back into another hypervisor.
This option seems not at all optimized and I believe that there is a simpler solution, because the data is on a common array and all that needs to be transferred is only the parameters of the virtual machine and refer to the corresponding files in the storage system. But how to do that?

@kabal375

Turn off the machine
Right click - Remove from inventory.
On the second host, select the datastores view, select the one you need, right click - browse datastore - go to the folder with the VM, right click on the config file - add to inventory
