Microsoft Azure charges cents, although I use free, what is it?

place the downloaded archive in /usr/ports/distfiles
execute commands using the example file open-vm-tools-9.4.0-1280544.tar.gz
sha256 open-vm-tools-9.4.0-1280544.tar.gz
ls -l open -vm-tools-9.4.0-1280544.tar.gz
cd /usr/ports/emulators/open-vm-tools
open distfiles and substitute the checksum and file size there
make install clean you
may have to correct the version in the Makefile
ps 8 is already an old system and ports to it are not supported

Upgrade from 8 to at least 9. And it’s better to get to 10, since the 11th version has already been released, and the 9th version will also soon cease to be supported.
