Memory upgrade Macbook Pro 2012 mid. Compatibility of brackets from different manufacturers?

There is an MBP 2012 mid with 4GB of RAM on board (one 4GB stick installed, corsair value select). There is a desire to increase the volume to 8GB by adding another 4GB bar.
When trying to buy, I ran into a problem that a similar already installed memory is sold only in sets of 2 pcs. (i.e. 2x4GB), however, there are memory with similar parameters from other manufacturers on sale.
Question: how critical is it for both memory sticks to be from the same manufacturer? Or, for example, can I put 4GB corsair + 4GB kingstone?
Thanks

Will work. At one time I used the same laptop with 8 GB Corsair + 4 GB native (I don’t remember the brand anymore).

You can "try" to put the bars from different manufacturers. But there is a very high chance of catching problems.
If possible, look for the same planks.

I always just go to the store, ask for a test, insert it into the laptop, check if everything is ok and buy.
