Memory disappears. How to train?

I am 30, I began to notice that the more I delve into programming, the more I understand that something is wrong with memory. Or not? Everything related to learning new material, frameworks, languages, etc., there are no problems here, but otherwise it's a disaster. For example, I wrote a small application, gave it away and forgot it, after a couple of months I seem to see what I wrote (my handwriting, comments, etc.), but I need to work hard to remember.

I also strain if I need to quickly remember what happened a week or a month ago. Sometimes it comes to a quarrel with my wife that I don’t remember anything ... It’s trite - I don’t even remember a couple of days later there was a quarrel)
What to read? What are you doing? And is it necessary to sound the alarm?

It is necessary to find a balance. It's difficult.
1. Protect sleep. Send everyone somewhere far away and start getting enough sleep.
2. Limit working hours. Hello mode from 8 to 5. I'm serious.
3. Physical activity. Force yourself to walk for at least an hour a day. Half an hour to work, half an hour from work. Get off a few stops early and go. If you use your own vehicle, please park farther from the office.
4. Rest with a change of scenery - go to another city, to the country, visit your parents. For example, you can go to a neighboring city. In Moscow - to an area where they have not been or in the suburbs. It is imperative that there is a change of scenery and appearance. In this regard, fishing with a fishing rod alone has a great effect. Helps to relax, slowly think about everything. Calms the nerves.
5. Give up bad habits. Don't overeat, don't smoke, don't drink too much. It is not necessary to completely and sharply refuse, but it is possible to reduce it.
6. Tell your wife once that if she doesn’t stop yelling at you, then by 45 she will have a mound of damp earth instead of you. And if she has problems with this, let her go to a psychologist.
7. Unload the little things from your head into the family calendar, accustom your wife to it (I have so many friends who have several children, there are sections, holidays, all sorts of schedules).

2) Low standard of living - start getting enough sleep, less strain, less stress, go in for sports. Maybe you have constant stress and a condition called "overtraining" in sports

And I'll add one more recipe: memory training. Strange as it may seem, not only the muscles of the body atrophy from the lack of load, but also the gray sinuous muscle in the head.
As an option: remember every day, for example, before going to bed, what happened during the past day, during yesterday, during the day before yesterday, and so on. etc....
PS Or get a job in public transport as a ticket inspector. That's who, who, and they have a memory ... They remember everyone to whom they have already sold a ticket!

Why remember something in a project when there is a search? I don’t know how many projects you have, but if the project is written in readable and understandable code, then it will not be difficult to figure it out. I do not see a memory problem here, rather a problem with the readability of my own code, that's what you need to think about. The code should read perfectly without comments.
The same goes for quarrels. If your brain doesn't remember fights, then it's less important to it than anything else. Sit down and talk calmly. Quarrels usually arise due to a lack of compromise. What does memory have to do with it? More like your superficial attitude towards family life and work. This is my personal opinion =)

From myself I will add one more method, a cat. helps to sleep long and well.
Starvation. Maybe this can not be called a full-fledged starvation. But something like this: you get up in the morning and do not eat until dinner - you just drink. you have to drink a lot. the main thing then for dinner is not to overeat, otherwise it will be hard to sleep. maybe a little headache - it will pass - like toxins come out. but after dinner you turn off just like that. and you can sleep until the morning.

so I had problems with memory (I actually had almost dimensionless memory) and some problems began with understanding the complex and with sleep. The pleasure of solving problems is gone.
For a long time I thought that they say "getting old, khe-khe".
I went to a neurologist, they did an MRI of the head - cerebral angiopathy. They prescribed systems, injections.
And you won't believe it - both memory and sleep and attention returned.
And there is no such fallout from reality, as it was.
