MBR 2 Tb limit - for the sum of all disks or for each disk?
Greetings!
It is impossible to create or use an NTFS volume of 2 Tb or more on an old BIOS, on an old motherboard.
MBR 2 Tb limit - does this limit apply to total system memory or just any individual drive?
Does this limitation apply to both HDD and SSD drives?
Thank you for your help.

Since each disk has its own MBR, everything related to its properties applies only to this disk. If you want to increase the capacity of disk storage beyond this limit, then install as many disks as there are connections on your computer - there should be no problems.
However... if you want to combine these disks into a RAID... But I'm not strong in RAID, and I don't know exactly how the MBR limitation will affect it.
Do GPT and forget the ICBM, it has not been relevant for more than ten years
If the BIOS is so old that it is not an EFI emulating BIOS, then it can only read the MBR.
ICBMs can also be put on a 3T disk, only it will see only 2T.

Since block addresses and sizes are stored in the partition table of an MBR using 32 bits, the maximum size, as well as the highest start address, of a partition using drives that have 512-byte sectors (actual or emulated) cannot exceed 2 TiB −512 bytes (2199023255040 bytes or 4294967295 (232−1) sectors × 512 (29) bytes per sector).[2] Alleviating this capacity limitation was one of the prime motivations for the development of the GPT.
