Gentlemen and ladies, how and where is it easier, faster and cheaper to make plastic models from stl files? What technology is now preferable for small- scale production - 3d printing, 3d milling, or something else?

Depending on what kind of requests you have (accuracy, volume, price, materials, circulation, ...), you can’t say for sure - there are many different technologies. Here the materiel, and services are offered there. Something specific on production, probably, they will tell you better there.
