BTStack GPS in Cydia allows you to use external GPS on jailbroken iPods, just tested it myself (Ipod touch 4G + Holux M1000). The truth is on the demo, the full one costs 5 bucks.

My nephew has this subject (Ipod 4G 4.3.3 32Gb).
