Rebuilding the route with navigation software?
I noticed more than once on Google navigation that if you turn the wrong way where the GPS shows, often after rebuilding the route, the remaining travel time is greatly reduced compared to the time before the route was changed. I think this means that having laid the route 1 time during construction, the navigator does not subsequently look for possible options.
I noticed the same thing on Yandex Navigator.
The question is why such a simple way to increase the efficiency of navigation as a constant (once a minute, let's say) search for the best route is not used? Traffic will not increase from this, the load on the device (processor and battery) is not important to anyone.

In the google navigator, you can do this in semi-manual mode, there is a button for choosing an alternative route. I often use it in the process of moving around the city, because. if you press it, it recalculates according to the state of traffic jams and another route may become more profitable.
It will be interesting when, for example, you are standing at a traffic light, in a turning lane, and he suddenly “remembers” that to the right, it will be more interesting.
Citigid does it. Including does what CrazySquirrel wrote above. You stand in the right - says "turn left." But there is no problem in this. If you can’t, go as fast as you can, he will immediately rebuild again.
Navigation from Google and Yandex is under-navigation, whatever one may say. Yandex is better, generally well done at first glance, but some crap in real use got out in recent days. Raw for now. I hope they add it.
