Mailing stats?

Good morning,
The question arose - how to collect statistics of sent mailing lists without resorting to mail services.
1. number of email openings?
2. number of clicks on links?
3. the number of clicks "this is spam!"
My guesses:
1. insert a picture (transparent gif 10x10), unique for each mailing and count the number of hits to it (as I understand it is possible, tell me how). Or an iframe in a letter. It’s easy to count the appeal, but I’m not sure if iframes work in mailers and in all.
2. Well, it's kind of simple. we hash all the links in the letter and add the info to the database when contacting.
3. no ideas

1. We insert all pictures into the newsletter via cid:, and only one, the display or non-display of which will not affect the appearance of the newsletter - through a link to the site. Paste something like this:
example.com/example @example.com/N/image.gif
In this e-mail address, this is the recipient's address, N is the mailing id. The server is configured to rewrite to a php script that counts addresses and returns a picture in response. It is not recommended to use a transparent gif, gmail considers spammers to do this and trusts such letters less - there are more chances to get into spam.
But you need to understand that not everyone has pictures included, so the calculation is still not accurate.
2. We put not direct links, but through a script-redirector, such as
example.com/email.php?to=link&email=example @example.com&list=N
Well, or you can also do some kind of CNC. And accordingly it counts the number of clicks on each link and who clicked.
Here the calculation is 100% accurate, plus at each transition we check whether the e-mail is in the list of those who read the newsletter (point 1) and if it is not, we add it. After all, if a person clicked on the link, then he read the newsletter :)
3. Through List-unsubscribe . The truth does not always work, but at least something.

“Using a transparent gif is not recommended, gmail thinks that spammers do this and trusts such letters less - there are more chances to get into spam” - I make all the indents in the layout with a transparent gif spacer, there were no problems with spam even for over 300,000 recipients.
I'll test the rest in the first paragraph, thanks.
The second point is what I thought.
about List-unsubscribe should be read in depth.
thanks for the answer

@unconnected

Clause 1 will not always work - there are many places where pictures are disabled for unknown senders
Clause 3 - I myself would really like to have an answer to this question :)
