MacBook Pro Retina 13" or 15"?
Good day.
I'm planning to buy a MacBook Pro Retina 2015 and I can't decide on the size of the display - 13" or 15". There are two questions:
1) Ease of use when splitting the screen into 2\3\4 parts for different applications. I work as a system administrator, often I have to open the console + browser or several consoles (tmux).
2) You need performance (virtual computers, many tabs, applications, etc), but wouldn't 15" be too heavy for daily trips?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
UPD . In order not to produce questions, I want to ask about the temperature at the same time. in my opinion. I read that a temperature of 60 degrees is the norm. Is this really so?
I downloaded the mac fan control program, it seems to be better, but still.
UPD2. Regarding overheating and the battery, I decided to note separately. Might be useful to someone else. Special thanks to DVadim for help.
Specifically, in my case, turbo boost was enabled by default and a discrete video card was used (apparently due to 2 monitors). Switched the video card using gfxCardStatus, disabled turbo boost using Turbo Boost Switcher. Along the way, I downloaded Macs Fan Control and set the speed of cheaters depending on the temperature of the processor (you can choose any sensor from the possible ones). Where to download, I think, you will find;).

15" is much faster than 13", especially if we are talking about base trim levels. At the same time, the difference in weight and dimensions is quite noticeable. I can hardly comfortably carry and use somewhere on the go 15", especially every day. I use it at home and in terms of convenience and performance it covers all my needs by 100%. It was a Pro 13" from 2014. A good computer, but on my tasks, when you need to keep a lot of things open, it ran into the amount of RAM, and it heated up very quickly. If you need portability, then this is Air or the new 13 "2016-2017. If power, then Pro 15". If there are no CPU-intensive tasks, such as compiling code, then there will be no noticeable difference in processors by eye. But 16GB of RAM would be highly recommended.
While opinions are gathering, here's mine:
15'' will cut down on work time and wasted nerves at the cost of more convenience,
more weight will burn more calories, which is generally not bad.
Thank you all for your advice, I am writing with MBP 15 "=). There are no problems with the screen size at all, because the image settings allow you to change the scale, as a result, it fits more than on the nearby 24" Dell.
