Macbook pro 2015 and external monitor ASUS VX24A why is there no clear image?
Good afternoon, help me solve the problem.
I have a macbook pro and bought an external ASUS VX24A monitor for it, which has a resolution of 2560x1440. Connected via HDMI, but the image is blurry, the fonts are not clear, it is very uncomfortable to work.
Tried with other permissions - the same thing.
I tried the screen duplication mode - in this case, if adapted to the retina display, then everything is great, if you do not take into account the scale of the picture. The fonts are smooth, everything is OK.
I tried to connect to a PC on windows - everything is fine at the maximum resolution.
In general, I'm racking my brains on how to set it up for a bunch with a Mac, I'll be glad to help.

There are many permissions in the list, any to choose from. Declared 2560x1440 is.
I tried to use the path-edid.rb script - it did not work, although the profile changed to forced RGB mode.
Does anyone have any other ideas what can be done?
I guess you have a frequency of 30Hz on this monitor instead of the accepted 60Hz, this is due to HDMI 1.4 and 2k resolution.
You need either DiapayPort connection or HDMI 2.0
