Hello. At the moment I'm using Macbook pro 13 8gb ram, I'm doing web development, sometimes Android development, I'm slowly starting to feel that I'm missing something. So the question is, would it be appropriate to switch to xiaomi with 16 GB of RAM?

6 years sitting on MBP 13 mid 2012, i5 2 cores 2.5 (already ancient architecture) 4Gb DDR3. If it were not for the disc, it would still be possible to work. I just started dying this year.

I would switch from a 16 GB laptop to an 8 GB MacBook. Especially for web development, 8 gig is enough even on Windows.
