MacBook freezes when waking up from sleep?

When waking my macbook from sleep mode with an external monitor connected, it freezes. If you turn off the monitor before outputting, then everything is ok. Has anyone come across?

The problem is widespread. I think that Apple once again got smart when fighting hackintoshniks, which caused ordinary poppies to suffer. By the way, does Yosemite fit on your model? If so, try it, I'm more than sure that there shouldn't be a problem.
