MacBook does not see hdd, what's the problem?
Hello guys, such a problem: I bought an optibey, put a Makovsky hard drive there, but the computer does not see it. The light on the optibee is on, but the disk itself is not spinning. There is an assumption that the superdrive is disabled by hardware, the question is where to check it? Optibey has already bought a second one and the same problem, so it's not about him.

Macs have regular drives, mostly Hitachi. I had no problems transferring to USB boxes. Most likely you have a hardcoded CD in EFI (or BIOS) on this SATA / IDE port
