MacBook Air screen resolution, screen slides to the right, what to do?

I connect an external monitor, with a resolution of 1920x1080, everything would be fine, but the screen of the external monitor is shifted to the right, it’s not clear why, in the resolution settings I choose 1920x1080, but if I choose a resolution of 1400x900, then there is no such problem, but in this case all the letters are muddy, I have work with text and this is not acceptable. If there is a solution to the problem, I would be very grateful for the hint
