Lubricated laptop hinges today with silicone grease. After two hours, the lid stopped closing, it is very tight. What to do?

So here it is ... The lid does not reach the end, it goes extremely tight. Just awful.

Silicone grease is not suitable for metal parts.
Rinse, lubricate with machine oil.

Just loosen the nuts on both hinges. Literally a quarter of a full turn is enough. If you want the lid to fall on the keyboard itself, you can make a full turn. In general, you can pick up the tension.
And for manufacturers who tighten the hinges SO much that they pull out the fasteners from the case - I would break the handles aaaaaal ...
