Lost connection to the access point when the screen backlight is turned off?

I searched but did not find why the android hotspot drops connections when it goes to sleep. In the wi-fi settings, the item never fall asleep is selected. Rescues only an open terminal emulator with the "On" options selected. wakeup lock" and "On. wi-fi blocking.
Device ZTE Racer, custom firmware 2.3.7, kernel from deadllink.
Is it possible to fix some config and not reflash the phone?

Look in logcat to see what happens after going to sleep. Perhaps there are clues as to why.
I myself had a similar problem (loss of cellular signal), the reason was related to the voltage, everything was decided by replacing the core.
