Looking for an iron screen capture

The situation is this. A bunch of speakers come to the conference with their laptops (mac, pc, different resolutions, hdmi and vga outputs). You need to organize a video capture of their presentation. We tried to install a software solution, different programs, almost always a failure occurs. Either the speaker has no place, or there is no time to install software, or something else. Or everything is recorded, but then you need to output the video in the desired format, and the speaker hurries to the plane.

The idea is to duplicate and intercept the hdmi or, more often, the VGA signal on its way to the projector. The recording needs to be in good quality.

About EPIPHAN Lecture Recorder in the know, it's expensive. www.videotrade.ru/portal/page/portal/ptl/shoptvdscr?goodsid=25606

Are there compact inexpensive pieces of iron that can do this?

PS Or, as an option, some flash pribluda.

Serious people I know use Game Capture HD for serious business. It works properly, the quality is excellent, you need an active adapter for VGA.
90 thousand for such a device is nonsense. For this money, you can assemble a server with an hdmi + vga tuner and pay for the services of an IT specialist who will assemble and configure everything as it should.

In my opinion, it will be easier to study the formats in which speakers bring presentations, select a special laptop or computer and put everything there. Well, ask for speakers in the application to determine the format of the presentation and video.

In general, this is called a "video capture card".

For capturing static screenshots, there is a funny solution with a built-in flash drive:

For video, I'm afraid there is no solution cheaper than a PC + video capture card.
Even on three-year-old hardware - something on atom + ion in the cheapest small case, with a pci video capture card (if it doesn't fit, then you need a pci-e riser) - we get into 300 USD. and less for a complete box, but this is not counting 1 CD for the selection of components, assembly and configuration of this joy.
And for a laptop, maybe some video capture card in expresscard format is better.

When converting VGA>RCA, you can use such a piece of iron, and it is not necessary to do double conversion, just parallelize the channels.

If you don't need to stream, check out blackmagic's products www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/hyperdeckshuttle/
There's a lot of tinkering around to stream.
