Looking for a specialist for joint research?
The task was to find a specialist (postgraduate student, researcher) for joint research in the field of high-frequency trading (if not to go deeper, then solve a list of trading tasks using the 'Cloud Computing + Big Data + HPC' bundle).
Despite the fact that I am a graduate student at a university with federal status, a local search—acquaintances of the dissertation supervisor, my acquaintances, the 'social pages' of my university's scientific society—has turned up nothing.
Are there specialized sites / services / social groups? networks / other techniques for finding specialists for joint research?
There is an important aspect of the search, because of which it makes no sense to advertise in the newspaper 'work' (exaggerated): the problem is being investigated within the framework of scientific activity and no one will pay a specialist for his work (i.e. he is either a researcher himself, or an altruist, or in some other way will motivate himself).

Links are useful, but still it's social. network for financiers, not the academic community. And having arbitrarily reviewed 10 questionnaires from the rating, I did not find any 'traces' of scientific activity in the questionnaires of the participants.
Another drawback: if tomorrow I have the task of applying Computer Science to the study of the human genome, then I will have to register in biological social networks. networks / forums, but about profiles, experience and connections fin. communities can be forgotten.
