I don’t follow the news especially, so I turn to the omniscient all.
You need a compact mobile device with a decent battery life, seamlessly supported by common Linux distributions, with normal USB ports. Power is not needed, it is planned to work with ArduinoIDE, terminal, Skype and Internet surfing. Wishes:
- battery life of at least 6 hours (real, with Wi-Fi turned on)
- small screen (10 "-14")
- reasonably cheap
- reasonably light
- preferably x86 platform, Linux for arm is still raw and slow.

The most difficult thing is with the bootloader, and on those devices where they coped with it, there are standard problems with Linux on laptops: not all devices work, for example, problems with power supply, network or sound.
