Local web server on Linux Mint. Vagrant or?

Linux Mint 18 is available. You
need to install an environment for local web development on WordPress.
I know you say LAMP. But I don't want to add too much to the system. I look towards Vagrant. Those. using Virtualbox.
Suggest alternatives. Or a detailed guide on installing and working with Vagrant.

Both docker and vagrant have ready-made servers. Just download and run.

lxc/lxd are now good steels. Why do you need full virtualization to run Linux in Linux?

docker shmoker raises more questions than answers for me, but with lxc everything is clear :)
