Local namespace in AD domain?

Dear All,
tell me or poke your nose where to read about the pros and cons of local domains in Active Directory.
This means: if an organization has a roga-i-kopyta.ru domain, then in most books from MS it is recommended to do the AD domain in accordance with the public name.
At the same time, I have often encountered the practice of creating AD domains with local names, such as roga-i-kopyta.loc.
What are the rake in both cases?

There are recommendations from microsoft to do a subdomain to an existing domain. For example - corp.roga-i-kopyta.ru
This will save you a lot of problems.
domain type - roga.local I do not advise at all, because *.local is used in mDNS and the bonjour service on poppies.

I do not advise you to make a local domain with the same name. It immediately comes to mind that it will be difficult to enter the company's website, for example, you will have to use www. Surely some more shoals will come up.

I had an AD domain in .local. I wouldn't recommend this "happiness" to anyone!
Make yourself a subdomain in roga-i-kopyta.ru, or register roga-i-kopyta in another zone. Whatever you choose, it will be more convenient and practical than a local domain.
