Load Balancing on RouterOS. Which implementation to choose?

Hello.
Tell me what exactly the authors of this and this video are doing? I'm actually interested in the algorithm of work, tk. in appearance, they set a bunch of traffic markings and it "somehow works." Plus, as I understand it, this option is not a failover, i.e. if the channel falls, will there be brakes?
In general, what are the options for organizing 2 WANs on Mikrotik? I know, there are a lot of videos on YouTube, and there are guides on the microt website ... But there are a lot of them: someone just determines the distance and "watches" the gateway ping, someone marks it as in the video, I remember there were guides with scripts ...
In short I wonder who uses what, what pitfalls, etc.

On the video, the usual NTH, briefly, we mark the connections through 1.2 ... n times, then, according to the markings, the helmet from through different gateways.
there are many balancing options, decide what you want
, and you should not confuse failover with balancing, you checkered or go.
although you can also assemble a hybrid if you wish.
