Literature on working with microcontrollers
Hello!
I'm going to work on microcontrollers (arduino for a start), but before that I had nothing to do with circuitry (the creation of electronics).
Please advise the literature on electrical engineering, that is, in order to understand more about resistors, transistors, etc.
Not a voluminous, but understandable, interesting and useful book on this topic.

There were good articles in the radio magazines of the 80s - I grew up on them. But in general, you just need to understand the essence of this or that element and look at typical schemes for its use.
If you are going to deal exclusively with electronics, then for a start you just need to know the laws of Ohm, Kirchhoff (solve problems), the use of a transistor in key mode, the simplest circuit for switching on an operational amplifier and an understanding of the principles of operation of capacitances and inductances. You can read about this very intelligibly in a school physics textbook.
For more detailed material, the two-volume "The Art of Circuitry" by Horowitz and Hill is indispensable.
We read the thematic blog of Habr.
An excellent list of references on Habré.
In terms of the very basics and principles of working on the fingers, there is a wonderful book "Step by Step" produced in Soviet times. I learned from it myself.
It seems that it was re-released, it is called, like “Electronics. Step by step".
You can try some of these:
* Mikushin A. Interestingly about microcontrollers
. 2006 * Boysen E. Radio electronics for dummies
. 2007 * Revich Yu.V. Entertaining electronics.2005
