Literature for self-study?
What are the fundamental books to start studying applied programming in order to learn the basics of this craft?
I would also like to get advice from the programming mafia for a beginner at the beginning of the journey of self-study.
Thank you.

What fundamental books should I start studying applied programming in order to learn the basics of this craft?
You choose any mainstream programming language, take any, not very thick, but at the same time suitable book and study, while simultaneously practicing writing helloworlds first, then real programs, trying superficially other languages and directions. If you like programming, then you begin to dive into the details of the technologies of interest and study the architecture of the PC with assembler (you need to write good and more optimized code), the books Petzold's Code Secret Language of Computer Science and Tanenbaum's PC Architecture will help here. Well, if English is bad, you study in parallel.
I think it's too early to start with fundamental ones, especially at the beginning of the Path... It's better to start with simple books on an interesting and most importantly modern language! I advise you to start learning with the book "Programming with Python" by author Michael Dawson. Simple game examples are immediately introduced into all the basics of programming, and then you can already read books on the algorithms and rules for writing "large" programs and applications...
