Which device is best for mini-presentations on the road?
We represent a service in the region that sells remote modules for travel agencies.
We are thinking of sending a specially trained person to the offices with mini-presentations on the spot. I know from experience that showing all this “live” for a long time and is not always possible, and most importantly, it is not really necessary.
People who are far from computer technology make decisions, the main thing for them is to understand the essence and see how it looks - that is, in fact, it can be a slideshow or even a set of pictures.
In order not to bother with printing, there is an idea to buy a budget tablet - in the end we bought a Ritmix RBK-490, but the first impressions are just terrible, everything slows down stupidly and even the office website does not open.
Can you recommend something more reasonable?
Do not offer IPAD - it's like shooting sparrows from a cannon ...

Ipad is still a certain prestige that affects the chance of sales. If this is too much for you, then you can send a guy in tights with a tube. The cost of a set of pencils and A1 sheets is just for sparrows.
90% of agencies have some kind of computers, you can use their monitors (as an option), and then consider options with netbooks. There, the performance is higher + keyboard and peripherals, allowing at least a little expansion up to projectors.
With Ritmix, you have gone too far, even Chinese tablets for $120 have 4 times more powerful processor, Mali400 graphics accelerator and IPS screens with a 5-hour battery and 1 gig RAM + android 4.0. What you suggested does not go anywhere 256 MB of RAM, a terrible screen, a processor and everything else. My advice is to find out who in your team wants to buy some kind of tablet for themselves, buy a thread like Galaxy Tab 2 (namely on Android 4), it’s kind of not expensive if it’s gray and prestigious and fast. And in fact, it will be possible to give that person how to crit him) The tablet is now becoming a thing almost as everyday as a phone. If you need something inexpensive and fast, then you can take Chinese. I personally have a Kindle Fire that is fast, inexpensive, but the functionality has been cut, I don’t know how you will be with it.
as a rule, very little time is allotted for such presentations. Literally 10-15 minutes, there is no time to connect devices. If there is enough time, they will show directly on the travel agent's computer, in real time.
That is, to buy a tablet for one of the employees and then give it to other employees for work? as an extreme case will I give out my ipad? but I don’t see the point except to throw dust in my eyes :(
but with Chinese devices the topic is interesting - can you advise something specific?

Price about 4k rubles if with delivery, etc. Rhythm is the same price.
However,
ALLWINNER BOXCHIP A10 Multi-Core (CPU + GPU + VPU + APU) Cortex A8 Frequency 1.2-1.5GHZ is one of the fastest single-core, the Rockchip 2818 Arm rhythm has 9 600 MHz. (A Chinese tablet has an ARM11 word and it is faster than that probably 4 times, and because of the GPU it keeps 1080p at least turn it up to the TV and show high-quality video on plasma)
Google Android 4.0 - in the same place in general 2.1 android, obviously not for a tablet
7 inch 16:9 wide IPS screen 1024 × 600 pixels - rhythmix has a bad cheap matrix 800x400 grain
Multi-touch capacitive screen 5 point multi-touch - is the rhythmic resistive?
1GB DDR3 - there are only 256, which is generally impossible for work
4GB / 8GB - the rhythmix has 4
Support Micro SD / T-Flash, Max 32GB - the rhythmix has a maximum of 16, useful for video presentations
Of the minuses, only the battery is 3500, the rhythmic has 4000
But I think here you can also carry a charge, but I’ll say that Allwinner and IPS + newer hardware will eat 1.5 times less, that is, if the rhythmix lives for 4-5 hours, then this one can live for 5-7 hours.
Grab a pocket micro projector and don't worry! On any wall you can show and attention will be riveted and the result is positive. We have ACER C112 - it works great!
I join Iliapan.
The project was defended in the Ministry of Education and Science at Tverskaya 11, for the presentation of the semi-annual work 10 min. They showed a video, and not all codecs were on the computer with the projector, they simply would not have had time to connect the laptop. As a result, they showed a video on Asus Transformer for a commission of 7 people - they made an excellent impression.
One time (when it got hot) very successfully hid the device's brakes by connecting with a regular terminal (rdp) to a remote machine.
The main thing in the presentation is not to overdo it with animation and smooth movements (this is superfluous and actually gets in the way).
ps Sometimes it's really more profitable to record a regular video with a screencast from a presentation, and don't forget to pause the presentation after each frame.
Video playback will work with almost any device (just choose the codec carefully, sometimes mjpeg is better than heavy alternatives).
As the owner of this, I recommend the BlackBerry PlayBook (in these our Americas, the basic model with 16 gigs costs $ 199, I don’t know how things are on the other side of the ocean).
For this money we get:
* 7" IPS
* dual-core 1GHz
* gig of memory
* two cameras (5 and 3 MP)
* ~ 8 hours of work
Of the indisputable advantages for use as a "portable presentation":
* Portability - easily fits in a jacket pocket
* HDMI-out
* Fucking bun Print To Go , when the device turns into a virtual printer to which you "print" documents from your computer
* It is also possible to directly copy files both via USB and over the network, via SMB-balls.
Personally, I would be pleased to see a high-quality printout with a thoughtful presentation of the formation on A1, A2. I see the following pluses:
- large size - visible to everyone in the hall
- no glare as with monitors and no dullness as with a projector in a non-dark room.
- no one will be afraid to point a finger and start a discussion, while the light flux from the projector is not blocked.
- you can immediately draw something for additional. explanations.
- after explanations, all the material immediately remains with people with all the notes on the sheets (no need to run from somewhere to download something, and stick flash drives, checking for
viruses
)
- animation is barely passable
— hemorrhoids with a printout, new changes — will have to be reprinted.
The main thing is the thoughtful presentation of information on these A1, and not three abstract, irrelevant graphics.
