The question "What to read?" (of course, in relation to the IT-topic) has been repeatedly posed in many places (including on Habré in the corresponding hub or, for example, on Stack Overflow there is an excellent selection of literature ). But if everything is clear with books, but more or less clear with periodicals (again, questions have already been raised), then with first-hand information, everything is not so simple.
What do I mean by this? Of course, blogs of famous and outstanding IT personalities, various mailing lists, rss channels, personal sites ... yes, even the same twitter (although I have never seen anything interesting there - the format is not the right one for me). I will give a specific example from someone I read (given that I am engaged in applied and system programming mainly in C / C ++ and C #):
