Linux next to Windows or Linux on VB for a weak PC?
Such a problem, Linux is needed to work with the code, and Windows is installed on the computer, which is also needed. There are two options, either put Linux next to Windows, or put Linux on VB. I tried to put it on VB, but it works very slowly, would it be better to put it next to Windows or will it also lag?
PC configuration:

for performance in your case will be better. lag will be less in theory.
Is VT support enabled in the BIOS? Without it, virtual machines will work slowly.
On such machines, I have people working all day (office + browser) in Xubuntu and not buzzing. How exactly you load the system and how much it will slow down is the second question. But that a virtual machine is inappropriate here - don’t go to a fortune teller.
In addition, disable Windows while working - useful%)
There are no ideas other than WSL in Windows 10, a VM on such hardware will slow down under anything.
