Linux: How to remove entire nodejs, including all global modules?

Hello everyone, I'm not a very advanced linux user, for half an hour I've been trying to remove nodejs of one version entirely and with the root, and install the latest version of the node.
I delete the node according to the recipes from Google (all sorts of sudo apt-get remove there), but this does not help. (by typing node -v command) I can see the platform version i.e. everything is in place.

А зачем удалять? Ставите свежую версию поверх, и все работает.
Я один свой сервер обновил с 0.12 до iojs 3.x, потом до 4, потом до 5, проблем не было.

Можно пользовать nvm чтобы не сносить каждый раз ноду.
