Lightest build of Windows 7 (for a netbook)?
Good day. There is not the latest Acer AOD270 netbook with not the best hardware and probably one of the most failed video chips from Intel GMA 3600 , and the stone is also "slightly tight" ...
Initially, it was planned to install Windows XP, but due to the lack of support from the manufacturer, except for Windows 7 x86, after two days of dancing with a tambourine, I had to abandon the idea of porting the driver under XP ...
Therefore, it was decided to kill all the two days of work on finding drivers, utilities and porting them and install the easiest assembly of the "seven" where there is only the ability to watch videos through a browser installed by MS Office and ... the ability to read books in the online library ... and the owner of a netbook does not need more)
So, I'm looking for the easiest and most stable build of Windows 7 on a netbook with minimal memory consumption (albeit at the expense of functionality).
UPD In connection with the supposedly finding a driver for XP, they are also interested in the fastest assembly of Windows XP or even Linux (also an assembly because it’s not a hunt to strain a battered tambourine again).

On my similar netbook, Win 7 Starter was originally installed and worked well
The most truncated Windows is based on WinPE, it even fits on a RAM disk (even the current one, based on "dozens", and even the previous ones, even more so), and at the same time it works fine and fast (maybe because of the RAM disk and the desired speed is obtained). You can try it by launching it from some tool-recovery LiveDVD/LiveUSB (many of them contain not only technical utilities, but also general-purpose software - text editors, players, etc.).
