If you only learn Objective-C, then gcc can compile
If you learn iOS development, then you have no choice, you need a mac

If you are going to develop for iOS \ MacOS - buy a poppy.
Other options (assembling hankintosh and raising virtual machines) are dancing with a tambourine and looking for a way to shoot yourself in the knee, with the same result, you get bored and you buy a poppy.

I agree that poppy is preferable. But I think that installing Mac OS on a regular PC (not on a virtual machine) is also quite an option for the first time. If English is good, then there are dances with a tambourine for about one weekend. At least that was the case a couple of years ago when I installed a hackintosh on my home PC. Check hardware compatibility - it won't take long:

They work on a mac, there are no problems, the installation is also very simple. Applet devices: keyboard, trackpad, magic mouse work perfectly with hackintosh. Updates are automatic and from maverick to yosemite it was updated just as easily as on a real mac.
