Learning 3D modeling from scratch?

I decided to learn 3D modeling (Why? I would like to know) And now I don’t know where to start. In 3D modeling, I know absolutely nothing, I draw medium (hands grow somewhere between the ass and the place for hands. Somewhere on the ribs )
So, where to start?
Are there any good books, websites, courses, videos? Articles after all?
For Yandex did not give me a good one (I need to change it to Google).

Look for lessons on YouTube right away - there are a lot of all sorts.
Again, what are you going to model?
Characters? - then dig in the direction of ZBrush (they have a lot of lessons on the site).
For everything else - what you like / will be clearer.
Blender is free, for example, and is very popular now, although I am a supporter of 3D MAX :)
