LaserJet Pro m252n unknown print processor, what could be wrong?

Good afternoon, in general, there is an m252 printer that was on XP SP3 x86 and worked fine. We installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on the same computer. From the original disk and a full-featured driver (PCL 6) downloaded from the official site, it freezes at the last stage (after asking you to connect the USB cable) and gives an error - waiting too long, sorry, thanks for choosing HP products - goodbye. After that, he removed all the firewood and began to install manually - nifiga - an unknown print processor. Yeah, that means it's not so simple (it can also work), I plugged in the cable, inserted the disk, and again HP politely said goodbye to me. Do I really have to go back to the stone age and put xp or someone here knows how to solve this problem. Many thanks in advance!!!

Connect over the network and go to the web interface using the received IP address - if you are logged in, then install directly from the "control panel" - "install a new device" and select a network printer and it will install everything itself.
PS if everything worked out, then your USB cable is not of high quality or is too long
