laptop replacement
Good evening, when I moved to another city (3 years ago) - I took an Asus k52jr laptop (i3, 2gb RAM), regularly changed its thermal paste and cleaned it, however, it only pleased me for the first half a year of use, it always was somehow lagging.
And now I'm sitting with chrome running and 10 tabs, and the temperature of the cores is ~ 65-70 degrees.
Actually, I’m thinking about replacing this old man with something newer, to be honest, I don’t really understand hardware and I don’t want to step on a rake.
I thought about building an average stationary for ~20k rubles and forgetting about various lags for a few more years, but I accidentally stumbled upon hp laptops, which position themselves as a replacement for desktops, promising good performance and relative silence. And now I'm all thinking about what to spend money on, because the mobility of the computer has always bribed me, however, I use mobility to the full extent several times a year.
I'd love to hear your opinions/advice.

"I regularly changed the thermal paste for him .... however, he only pleased me for the first half a year of use, he was always some kind of lag" - This, oddly enough, is never, well, never worth doing! I think that because of this, at least such a temperature, and a lot of lags.
How many laptops I myself and friends had, no one has ever replaced thermal paste, since it is applied on the assembly, it is better not to put it.
As for cleaning, it is enough to blow it out of a can, and even then once every 2-3 years.
At the expense of lags, I'm afraid they themselves are to blame. You need to look at what is running and what the processor is eating, which drivers are buggy and slow down.
As for the purchase, my mother-in-law bought a Lenovo V580c - everyone is very happy, about ~ 20,000 rubles.
I made a hole for the wires on the balcony and placed the system unit there. Quiet, on the balcony, or loud - it doesn't matter to me. I am satisfied.
And advice, the diameter of the hole and the sequence of pulling the cables should be started (deleted) from hdmi. (The rest of the connectors can be cut off and soldered back).
