If you just want to put a matrix with a higher resolution, then there is no guarantee that everything will just start up.
On my old Thinkpad X61s, I replaced 1024x768 with a 1400x1050 matrix. For normal operation, I had to pick the BIOS, since such operations were performed by the Chinese. At the same time, I learned Chinese :)
