KVM virtualization - how to prevent CPU Abuse?
Hello! I have the following problem.
I recently bought a KVM based VPS.
The configuration was as follows: 3 vCores 1200Mhz / 1024MB RAM.
There was a 25GB MySQL (MyISAM) database. Database queries are very simple, without any secondary queries and fancy indexes.
I have a website, about 3000 uniques a day. In general, today I received a letter of happiness: "Suspension Reason: CPU Abuse".
Constantly monitored htop - CPU usage per 1 core was no more than 1-3%. But nevertheless, the hoster cut down my VPS for me, as they write - due to CPU overload.
Here is the question:
Is it possible to somehow increase the number of processes for the CPU? Or is it better to switch to Xen and not fool around? KVM - of course, cheaper ... it's a pity that everything turns out that way. Strongly do not kick, I'm in this thread recently.

kvm in terms of cpu is the same as xen,
look at the cpu for each core separately + what exactly loads the cpu, if everything is as you say, then you were turned off just because you wanted to, if what the hoster says is true, you overloaded the server heavily and began not beneficial to him.
Your host is strange. Find someone better. Flops, digitalocean, and some netangels.
Limiting the CPU is the concern of the hoster.
And so - cgroups to help you.
I’m sitting on digitalocean, suddenly somehow found out that because of my cant, the percentage is loaded at 100%, and apparently for a long time (more than a week for sure), nevertheless, the abuse did not come. Change the host to a normal one.
