Kindle 3 does not respond to the power button. What to do?

A week ago I bought a Kindle 3 (I'm not lucky with new models - they fight). Happy for a week. But today the book refused to "fall asleep": I move, I move the valve - zero reaction. I waited until she fell asleep herself, then she tried to turn it on - fig ...
I rummaged through the Internet. In general, turned on, refused to turn off again. I restarted it, turned it on and off several times ... Bottom line: I restart - and it turns off and on normally, but then the button stops responding again, I have to restart again. What could be causing this?

Most likely the power button is broken. You should contact the master who is engaged in the repair of electronics.

Incredibly, this was due to the rapid discharge of the battery. Charged, turned on and off - the button now responds perfectly
