Keyboard shortcuts in different keyboard layouts in Ubuntu 12.04. How to do?

Hello!

Googled for a long time, maybe wrong. But I could not find how to set up new ones or change the old key combinations so that they work in the Russian and English layouts the same way.

For example, I set the Super (Win) + L combination in the settings to lock the session and it only works in the English layout.
But other commands that were pre-packaged in the distribution kit work well.

Help to solve this ridiculous problem for 2012, please.

strictly speaking, it depends on the widget (the library used to write the gui).
For example, gtk suffered from such a disease before some version. With qt once there were the same problems.
Most likely, without fixing the source code and recompiling, this cannot be cured in any way except by changing the graphical shell (put kde instead of gnome or vice versa).

wait for bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/992706 or fix the code yourself
