How to assign a layout switch in Elementary OS Freya?

I want to configure unambiguous layout switching by Ctrl. Left Ctrl - English, right Ctrl - Russian. As far as I understand, something needs to be done with setxkbmap. I moved to Linux a week ago and I do not understand what to do. This is not configurable through the interface. What do I enter into the terminal to get what I want?
