Javascript book?

I understand that books on Javascript are like dirt, but still. I myself am a student, I write in Python. Looking closely at the possible future options for earning in almost everyone, I see one of the conditions for knowing Javascript + JQuery + AJAX for developing the client side. Alas, this area is clearly dark for me, HTML - CSS is what it has been limited to for its bicycles so far. I got a tutorial on Rutracker, but my eyes ran wide - a lot of things, and tutorials like “Master the whole web in 5 days: HTML-CSS - JAVAScript - PHP - MYSQL” are popular, which does not seem to be exactly what I need. Hence the question: can anyone advise a good textbook in Russian for my purposes from their own experience?

1. Flanagan, 6th edition. The best and most correct book. Leading by a huge margin from all the others combined. In Russian, it has not yet been, and it is not known whether it will be at all: the publishing house "Symbol", which was going to release it, is covered with a copper basin.
2. Crockford , sometimes in Russian in a tolerable translation.
3. Optional - Stefanov .
4. Personally, I didn't like Resig's book; in my opinion, the author is blowing his own tune and perverting the high ideals of true JavaScript. However, this is my subjective impression.
And most importantly, in no case should you read books by Russian authors. Not only on JavaScript, but also on any computer topics. One single book by a domestic author is capable of polluting the brain so much that it cannot be corrected later with a dozen other, correct books.
And if someone advises you books by Russian authors, do not hang out with these people anymore, otherwise you will become infected from them and die (as a specialist) in terrible professional torment.
As for online tutorials and other resources on the Internet - there are 5% good and 95% shit. You can read them only if you already know how to distinguish shit from good. Otherwise, see the previous paragraph.

The best Jquery tutorials on their off site docs.jquery.com/Tutorials.
I also advise you to look at the site jqueryfordesigners.com/ - there are many beautiful ready-made solutions for jquery.

I would recommend JavaScript. Professional Programming Techniques by John Reisig (by the way, the author of jQuery). Not to say that the very basics, but everything is clear enough. It will help you immediately "understand" in Javascript.
You can read the first pages of the book here.

My favorite book is Danny Goodman's JavaScript. The User's Bible, 5th edition. It is written very clearly, what a beginner needs, later it will come in handy as a reference.

I won’t recommend the book, but you won’t find better MDN documentation.

If JS is a dark forest for you, then read any book. After a couple of simple books, you will already be able to weed out the bad ones by the table of contents + a quick look. The basics are the same everywhere, good books allow you to delve into the jungle without problems.

I like Robbins' book. An in-depth guide for both beginners and bearded seniors will do. True, it will be difficult for a person who is not prepared at first. Bought from Myshop
